Install (MacOS)
- Click here to download a copy of the driver for your computer
- After downloading the driver you must double click it to open the disk image, then double click the file labeled "Kyocera OS X 10.6+ Web build 2017.01.30.pkg"
- Open System Preferences and click on Printers and Scanners
- Click the plus sign to add the printer
- Click on IP
- Enter the IP address of the printer you want to add
- 10.1.6.27 = Alfond Room
- 10.1.6.41 = Cafe
- Under the IP address field change the protocol to LPD (Line Printer Daemon)
- Once the IP address has been entered, click on "Choose a Driver" from the drop down list and choose "Select Software"
- Then choose the correct printer software for the printer you have selected. The copiers are Kyocera Taskalfa 4551ci machines.
- Click 'Add'
- Paper Feeders: Cassettes 3,4
- Document Finisher: 1000-sheet finisher
- Select 'OK'
- You should now be able to print
Install (Windows 10)
- Click here to download a copy of the Kyocera driver for your computer
- Unzip the folder
- Go to the Control Panel and select “Devices and Printers”
- Click “Add Printer”
- Select “Add a Network Printer”
- Stop the printer search and click “The printer that I want isn't listed”.
- Select “Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname”, then click "Next"
- Enter the IP address of the printer you would like to add in the IP field, then click "Next"
- 10.1.6.27 = Alfond Room
- 10.1.6.41 = Cafe
- Additional port information will be required. On the following screen, click “Custom” “Settings”.
- On the following screen, check the “SNMP Status Enabled” box and change “public” to “printers”. Click OK.
- Click “Next” to install the printer driver.
- At the Install the Printer Driver screen, click “Have Disk” on the bottom right.
- Browse to the location where you unzipped the file (for the Kyocera drivers) and open the "kyocera-windows" folder, then the "7,8,10" folder,
- Open the 32 bit folder if you have a 32 bit computer, or 64 bit folder if you have a 64 bit computer, then select the “OEMSETUP” file. Click Open.
- A new window will pop up and ask you to select the model of the printer. Select the “Kyocera Taskalfa 4551ci”, then click “Next”.
- Click “Next” until you can exit the wizard. On the last page of the wizard, there is an option to print a test page. This is highly suggested.
